Signs Express is to exhibit at an armed forces employment fair next month as part of its approach to market its franchise centres as an option for ex-service personnel.
The company has more than 75 franchisees and is looking to expand its ranks with an appearance at the Tidworth Armed Forces Job Fair and Networking Event in Wiltshire on October 6th. It will emphasise its franchised sign-making centres – which have been custom designed as light industrial production units – as a more flexible option than retail, and the training and support included in the package.
Among Signs Express's franchisees is Dave Metcalfe, owner of the Teesside centre, who opened the shop in 1995 after leaving the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Army.
He comments: "Signs Express gave me a new opportunity after serving [in] the military. The business has allowed me to spend more time with my family as well as being my own boss."
