Roland DGA Corp announces that the company’s new ECO-UV S ink took top honours in SGIA’s Product of the Year 2011 competition in the Digital Ink category. Roland’s VersaUV LEJ-640 hybrid flatbed printer received the Honorable Mention award for Poster Size UV Inkjet Printers under 96 inches. These awards follow several prestigious industry honors for VersaUV technology, including past DPI, EDP and Label Industry Global Innovation awards.

Roland VersaUV inkjets come in five models, ranging from 12 to 64 inches in width. Wide-format VersaUV models support the new, highly flexible ECO-UV S ink, which expands up to 220 percent. This extended elasticity allows prints to mold perfectly to the contours of PET bottles and plastic cups, and ensures flawless results on thermoformed plastic that is commonly used for items ranging from food service trays to auto parts packaging and consumer electronics cases. ECO-UV S is offered in CMYK and white for the VersaUV LEJ-640 printer and LEC series printer/cutters.
