Brothers Darren and Lance Britnell have begun a new print enterprise together in High Wycombe, UK, to complement the existing Resource Print specialist printing services company. The new entity, Resource Digital Graphics, has invested in a Roland VersaUV LEC-540 wide-format UV-curable print-and-cut machine with white ink and clear varnish.

Lance Britnell had already encountered the VersaUV while working at pre-press, photographic and ink-jet printer distributor Image2Output, a supplier of VersaUV LEC and VersaCamm series machines.

"My brother and I have amassed 50 years of experience between us in print, and the opportunity to combine our skills was too good an opportunity to pass up," says Lance Britnell. "Having [been] involved in depth with the Roland VersaUV LEC-540 at Image2Output I knew it was an essential machine for my purposes and for the services offered by the new company."

Resource Digital Graphics uses the 1.37m printer for proofing and prototyping and the creation of banners and displays 'which benefit' from the white and clear functions, says Roland.
