Huntsville International Airport invests in more videowalls with Planar's Clarity Matrix
Huntsville International Airport in Alabama, USA has chosen Planar's Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System as part of an improvement project.
The two videowalls, deployed in the new baggage claim area, show advertising, flight details and community information. It is the second time in two years that the airport has used videowall technology from Planar, the company states.

Clarity Matrix panels are available in 46" (1.2m) and 55" (1.4m) options, and displays are separated by 7.3mm, says Planar. The product also incorporates an off-board electronics design, meaning the heat that would normally be produced by the electronics behind the LCD panel – causing damage and reducing the display's lifespan – is removed.
One of the two new videowalls, installed in June, is comprised of 21 Clarity Matrix LCD panels while the second is made up of 25 panels, together creating digital display space of over 400sq ft (37sq m).
"The opportunity for digital signage usage in airports continues to grow and Planar is at the forefront of understanding the technology needs of our industry," says Betty Fletcher, chairman of the board of directors for Huntsville International Airport.
