Next years’ Sign & Digital UK event will see a host of new exhibitors from a variety of industry sectors. The organisers have been talking with some of the new companies to find out why they are exhibiting at the show for the first time and what new products they will be introducing. The companies listed below have been selected as they demonstrate the real diversity of exhibitors at Sign and Digital UK.
Wyzrds – Stand P84
Wyzrds Co Ltd specialises in designing and supplying solutions for low-cost and temporary signage.
The opportunity to devise new products was discovered by Wyzrds’ managing director, Pat Lennard, when he observed the difficulties experienced by local authorities and others when attempting to erect temporary signage on the street. Waterproofing and stiffening a printed paper notice by laminating it works - until it comes to mounting it on a supporting upright.
The same failing was seen to affect other low-cost signage, particularly where the commonly used material was twin flute plastic. Both these materials are used worldwide for low-cost signage and the problem of mounting also exists worldwide. The invention and patenting of solutions to these problems has led to where we are today.
Making its debut at Sign & Digital, the new clip known as LAMINAID TF is for mounting the ubiquitous corrugated plastic or twin flute sign. It will solve a real dilemma and has already been welcomed by the signmaking trade. Sign & Digital UK will see the international launch of the Laminaid TF.
Romac Display Solutions – Stand P14
Romac Display Solutions develops, manufactures and supplies its own range of high quality, low cost, vandal- and weather-resistant poster cases and notice boards.
A young company, Romac Display Solution’s full product range will have been launched for less than a year when Sign & Digital takes place.
Demand from hotels, councils and the sign industry has been very encouraging and Romac is taking a stand at Sign & Digital to present its high quality, low cost product range to potential new customers.
As Allan McEvoy from Romac explains, “We have nice colour brochures but that’s nothing like getting our products in front of customers so they can experience the quality for themselves.”
The range includes powder coated zintec, stainless steel and brass cases together with menu lectern stands. These are very popular with hotels and restaurants and can be freestanding or fitted into the ground. Illuminated cases are also available which incorporate the latest LED lighting technology.
Romac is confident that visitors to its stand at Sign & Digital will be impressed by the combination of high quality and low prices of the product range.
Indasol – Stand J74
At this year's Sign & Digital UK, INDASOL will be launching several new cutting edge products. The first of which is SIGN-BLOCK; a revolutionary material for producing ultra lightweight 3D shapes, images and letters. It can be routed, cut or carved and finished to look like folded metal, plastic, wood and even stone. Offered with a 10 year warranty, SIGN-BLOCK will not warp, crack, split or rot and is manufactured using 15% recycled content.
INDASOL will also be launching the very latest in UHB technology. Two products, one removable with excellent shear and initial tack properties and the other designed for instant bonding onto low surface energy and difficult plastics. INDASOL is a leader in UHB structural bonding tapes and offers the most extensive range available.
INDASOL has been supplying innovative Sign Making Tapes and Adhesives for many years and provide an all round technically supported approach. Offering products from Structural Bonding UHB designed for Channel Fixing and Plastic and Metal Bonding, 2 Part Structural Adhesives for Locator fixing through to Banner Hemming and Name Plating Tapes. The INDASOL range covers almost any sign making and fixing situation when working with most materials. INDASOL even have products for metal bonding prior to powder coating, optically clear products for an invisible bond and removable UHB tapes for a strong but easily removable bond.
Martin Sadler, MD comments, “The main reason we decided to do the 2012 show is that we have been operating in the Sign Industry for many years and up until now have launched our products via email, web and trade press. This year we felt the Sign Block product deserved a greater platform because of its revolutionary nature – hence booking a stand at Sign & Digital UK 2012. We’ll be delighted to see customers new and old there and show them how our products can help speed up signmaking and assembling, improve quality and deliver improved profits time and again.”
