Printer manufacturer HP has announced its search for entrants to the first ever HP Print Excellence Awards, which will honour output printed on HP Designjet, Scitex, Indigo and Inkjet Web Press systems.

"The HP Print Excellence Awards will show how customers fully express their ingenuity, creativity and skill using HP solutions," says Christopher Morgan, senior vice-president of HP Graphics Solutions Business.

"We look forward to seeing how our customers are advancing the analogue to digital transformation and achieving new levels of colour quality and innovation."

The contest, which combines disparate global and regional print awards by HP, will honour winners in 16 commercial print, wide-format graphics, label and packaging categories as well as entrants who exemplify 'environmentally responsible printing'.

Judging will be in the hands of a panel of print experts from around the world and winners will be announced at an exclusive event at print show drupa 2012 in Düsseldorf, Germany in May.
