Live bulletins from Channel 4 News are being posted to CBS Outdoor UK's cross-track digital screens
in the London Underground until December 11th
Commuters in the London Underground system are currently able to see Channel 4 News bulletins while waiting for trains, thanks to a new campaign from out-of-home companies CBS Outdoor and Posterscope and media communications agency OMD.
Teasers are being projected onto CBS Outdoor UK's cross-track digital screens from Channel 4's evening news broadcast in advance of the channel's 7pm air-time in dozens of Tube stations across London.
"This is a great campaign and really showcases how the digital cross-track format can bring campaigns to life and engage the London Underground audience," says country director at CBS Outdoor Jason Cotterrell. "Timely updates like this are a fantastic way for Channel 4 to reach a key audience at a key time of day."
Where studio editors from Channel 4 and ITN were previously unable to publish dynamic content without 'significant human input', technology developed by digital creative agency The Cloud and Compass now allows ITN news personnel to update the CBS Outdoor screens in the London Underground directly.
