FESPA Digital 2012, taking place in Barcelona, Spain from February 21st to 24th, will offer an educational programme designed 'to encourage printers to look at the wider opportunities for their business', the show's organising team states.

On the show floor itself, different technology and consumable types will be the subject of Explore Routes, while Output's Sophie Matthews-Paul will moderate the interactive Print Shop Live! event, where visitors can test their own artwork files on a range of digital printing technologies and substrates. There will also be the Narrow Format Zone, show-within-a-show FESPA Fabric and an applications showcase called Big Buck's Cafe.

Visitors will be able to see a display of applications at Big Buck's Cafe

In addition, a series of free half-day workshop sessions and conferences will make up the Explore Conference, which aims to cover a range of subjects from sustainability and digital signage to business growth and printed electronics.

FESPA marketing manager Lynda Sutton comments: "We want to stimulate visitors to FESPA Digital to look at how to use software, printing and finishing equipment, substrates and inks to expand their horizons and develop new products and services that match customers' needs and help them to be more profitable."
