Watchfire has announced the launch of two new 12mm LED signage products aimed at companies requiring outdoor full-motion video at high resolution and brightness with minimal power requirements, it says.

The Watchfire 12mm XVS signs and 12mm digital billboards come in single modular casings to protect the hardware from exposure to the elements. Both products also share a 'form factor' with the company's 19mm module, which makes upgrading to the higher-resolution 12mm product simpler for signage owners.

"The Watchfire 12mm digital billboard delivers crisp and vibrant images even when viewed up-close in dense metro areas," says director of Watchfire Digital Outdoor, Darrin Friskney. "It also delivers 1.5 times the brightness of surface-mount models while consuming only 32 to 53 percent of the power of comparable products. That's significant energy savings for our customers over the life of the product."

The new 12mm designs feature 7500 nits of brightness and full 60-frame-per-second video capabilities.
