The parent company of national print service franchises Prontaprint and Kall Kwik, On Demand Communications, has reportedly been placed in administration as of 4pm on Monday (December 12th).
Individual companies bearing the name of either franchise under their licence arrangement with the parent are unaffected. An unconfirmed report on Twitter states that franchise owners had been offered the chance to break away from their contracts without penalty, or keep their branding for a 1.5 percent franchise fee with reduced support.
Prontaprint, Kall Kwik and their parent company, On Demand Communications, have apparently filed for administration
One Prontaprint franchisee confirmed that the parent company had been placed in receivership, adding that they were planning to rebrand and become independent. Several Prontaprint and Kall Kwik franchises have elected to break away in recent weeks, including Pronta Print Chorley, now The Print Quarter, the Prontaprint branch in Broadway, Peterborough, newly christened Printmarshall, and Kall Kwik Brighton.
Telephone lines at head offices for all three companies state that the companies are closed.
