Over 400 exhibitors from across 30 countries have confirmed they will be attending the 15th Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East (SGI) show in Dubai in early 2012. SGI's organiser, IEC, is also expecting over 10,000 trade visitors from across the globe. The event is scheduled to take place between January 31st and February 2nd at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC, comments, “When we started our journey 17 years ago we had representation from few countries. Over 296 exhibitors from 23 countries participated in the 2011 event and the numbers are set to grow further in our 15th show early next year."
SGI is one of the most anticipated events of the year in the region for exhibitors and visitors in the signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries. Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East (SGI) is an established 14 year old business forum where exhibitors and visitors can interact with sign makers, print and production manufacturers, architects, media agencies, real-estate developers, brand and image consultants, amongst others. The forum includes seminars and workshops conducted by industry experts.
''Our show has generated sales amounting to billions of dollars for exhibitors serving the digital printing, signage and outdoor advertising industries in the last decade and a half,” adds Mr Falaknaz.
Mr Sharif Rahman, CEO of IEC states, “It’s a special year for us and we are introducing two new components - namely the 'Digital Signage’ and ‘Digital Commerce’ sections at the show. We had a strong turnout from across the GCC as well as East Africa, the Sub Continent, Europe, Asia among other geographies. The quality of visitors who attended the last edition of SGI Middle East was amongst the best we have ever seen and we expect the trend to continue into 2012.”
