Shuttleworth brings improved 'efficiency and accuracy' with Electronic Proof of Delivery
Shuttleworth has added Electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) to the latest version of its software system, the company has announced. The function allows delivery information to be sent directly to print company delivery drivers' mobile devices, who can then ask the customer to sign the device when they receive the goods.
This step is followed by the Electronic POD being sent by 3G to the Shuttleworth System and attaching itself to the job file, before an automatic email is sent to the customer to confirm delivery.
Shuttleworth is offering a monthly rental of the software, which is delivered via the cloud.
"Electronic POD gives real control to an increasingly costly area of the business," says Andy King, joint managing director, Shuttleworth. "It brings a degree of automation to what is, historically, a manual process. The efficiency it delivers, speed and improved customer service is simply brilliant and is essential for any business carrying out deliveries."
