Turkish digital platform provider Digiboard has installed digital signage in Migros and Macrocenter supermarkets in Istanbul. The signage deployment comprises 562 displays in twelve Macrocenter branches and 34 Migros stores, powered by YCD Multimedia's digital signage software, C-nario Messenger.
Digiboard also manages and controls the digital displays' advertising content, which can be uploaded and approved via the internet through the C-nario platform.
The digital signage is designed to encourage impulse buying from supermarket shoppers
The screens are located in the supermarket aisles and point-of-sale areas, and in meat and fish counter, delicatessen and bakery areas.
"The displays serve as a very effective communication platform attracting shoppers to choose products that are promoted by the digital displays in various locations of the store," says Lazar Demisulam, chief executive, Digiboard.
"We see more and more supermarkets and hypermarkets adopting digital signage as a key communication channel with shoppers."
C-nario Messenger was developed by C-nario, which was acquired recently by YCD Multimedia, the company explains.
