As a regular user and reseller of HP latex printers we were immediately interested when HP announced the introduction of the HP Latex University and the HP Eco Solutions Certification. Prompted by the decision to replace all of our in-house eco-solvent printers with HP latex machines we felt it would be useful to undertake the Eco Solutions Training to gain more knowledge on how latex technology can benefit ourselves and our customers.
In 2008 the company achieved ISO 14001 accreditation and since doing this we have continued to look for 'green' solutions across all of our services. Working towards the HP Eco Solutions Certification was a natural fit. The training program is downloaded and run from your PC or Mac and comprises nine modules. Each module provides information and training designed to enhance your knowledge of latex technology. The modules range from the environmental benefits through to recycling, energy efficiency and selling sustainable print. The training takes approximately two hours to complete but is well worth taking the time to do.

Following each module there is a short test which you need to pass before moving onto the next module. Upon successful completion of all modules you then finalise the training by submitting your details to HP. You will then receive logos for your website and e-marketing, along with a framed certificate confirming that you are now a HP Eco Solutions Trained Printing Company.
It's a great privilege to say that we are a HP Eco Trained Printing Company. As the market shifts towards a greener and more sustainable workflow we are pleased to be at the forefront. We can now share our knowledge with our current customers and show prospective customers that we are the right company to choose for their print needs.
Moving forward, we will be helping those customers who purchase HP latex machines and latex print from John E Wright and Co to undertake the training so that they in turn can share the knowledge with their clients and move the industry in a positive and environmentally responsible direction. The more that latex technology is understood and utilised the better it will be for all of us.
