Mimaki to demonstrate value-added printing at PSI 2012
Dec 23 2011 15:31:51 , 992

Delegates attending PSI 2012 PSI 2012 can discover how to add high-quality features to print products and increase revenue by visiting the Mimaki stand (9H27 – Technology Forum). The company will demonstrate value-added printing with Mimaki machines, and showcase a host of innovative promotional products and textiles. PSI Trade Show 2012 is being staged from January 11 - 13 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

At the show Mimaki will demonstrate its latest desktop-size UV flatbed printer, the UJF-3042FX, which can print on flat substrates up to A3 size (300 x 400mm), as well as materials up to 50mm thick. Equipped with clear ink, the machine adds value to print products with spot colouring or by creating stunning embossed effects. Furthermore, white ink means more vivid colours can be produced when printing on transparent or coloured substrates.

With three different inks to choose from, including hard and flexible UV inks, the UJF-3042FX broadens possibilities for print service providers. The machine also features newly developed automatic primer application functionality. Some materials are unsuitable for UV inkjet printing, but they can usually be printed on after pre-priming. Applying primer is normally done manually, however the UJF-3042FX does this task automatically via its own inkjet system. Moreover, the primer doesn’t require extra printing time and can be applied on selected areas.

Mimaki will also showcase its CJV30 series at PSI 2012. Available in four sizes – 60cm, 100cm, 130cm and 160cm –  the CJV30 series offers users a complete high-performance, print-and-cut solution in one machine. The product range is packed with valuable features, such as high-speed continuous crop-mark detection and Mimaki’s original ‘Half-Cut’ function. These functions are also present on the CG-60 series, Mimaki’s range of desktop cutting plotters, which will also be on display. In combination with a heat press, these two machines will demonstrate the solvent transfer process for promotional textiles, sportswear and more.
