Epson has launched a new series of Design Edition packages, developed to support in-house proofing for advertisers and designers. The packages also include the Express Edition RIP from EFI, and the option of the SpectroProofer for automatic colour calibration and measurement.
The Stylus Pro WT7900 forms part of Epson's new packages for designers
"We know how important it is for busy agencies, designers or departments to save time and money when it comes to proofing – this is why we put together the Design Editions, aiming to save time not only on researching and selecting each element within the package, but also to help them speed their proofing productivity," says Martin Johns, market development manager, Pro Graphics, Epson UK.
The new offerings comprise the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 Design Edition for £5,229 excluding tax, which Epson says is the first white-ink packaging proofing printer on the market and can print onto substrates of up 24" (53cm); the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 Design Edition, from £1,995, offering a Pantone match rate of 98 percent for materials up to 17" (43cm); and the compact Epson Stylus Pro 3880 Design Edition also up to 17" (43cm), available for £1,336.
