Fujifilm Europe announces the launch of a brand new microsite designed to educate printers about the benefits of processless plate technology and its new Brillia HD PRO-T3 plate.
Aimed at helping printers become more efficient, and thereby reducing costs, the multi-lingual microsite (www.pro-t3.com) highlights five key benefits of working with processless plates.
The demands on commercial printers, in terms of increasing efficiency and reducing costs in order to stay competitive, are ever increasing. These factors, combined with the growing impact of digital print technologies, mean many commercial printers are having to look for ways to improve efficiencies in order to maximise the utilisation of their offset presses. Processless plates provide the ideal opportunity to streamline production and optimise the efficiency of the offset print process.
The new microsite shares a wealth of information about processless plates with visitors. This includes highlighting the operational and environmental benefits, along with a detailed animation that helps to explain the science behind how a plate like PRO-T3 actually works. There is also a guide available to download from the microsite which explains how a commercial printer can improve the general environmental performance of its business, part of a series of “Better Business” Guides produced by Fujifilm.

Brillia HD PRO-T3 is a processless plate that eliminates the processor, chemistry, gum and water used in the plate production process, the plate being taken straight from the platesetter onto the press. PRO-T3 represents the fastest way of getting a plate on-press, and all the variables associated with processors and finishing units, including the time and labour involved with their maintenance, are eliminated.
