Amscreen has announced a partnership with Vodafone that will see the telecommunications giant's SIM cards built into every digital signage screen in Amscreen's European network.
Vodafone's Machine to Machine division 'makes common appliances more intelligent' by creating wireless inter-device connections via the internet, which Vodafone says opens up a range of applications and 'new functionality' while enabling the collection of consumer usage data which can be fed back to service providers.
Amscreen's digital signage network includes 3,424
electronic signs across 3,183 sites in the UK
"Vodafone has already helped Amscreen to grow in the UK," says head of Machine to Machine at Vodafone, Erik Brenneis. "We'll now help Amscreen to grow in Europe by using our fast and reliable networks to deliver digital content quickly and easily across many different countries."
The companies are calling the project a SIM-based 'one size fits all' solution for managing digital content across numerous out-of-home spaces throughout Europe, a task that includes advertising content for clients in a range of industries.
