The shortlisted Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2012 Apex Awards entries have been announced. The winners of the awards, which recognise DOOH technology developments, will be named during DSE in Las Vegas in March.
Nominees in the Arts, Entertainment, Recreation category are Bally Total Fitness, Museum of Design and Parx Casino; Harley-Davidson, Christie, and CBC and Radio-Canada are in the Business, Industry and Government category; Education and Healthcare comprises Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, CTV and the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery; while the HP Pavilion at San Jose, Sun Life Financial BuzzWall Kodak Theater and Livestrong Sporting Park will battle for Event Venues.

The finalists for Food and Beverage are Acros Dourados Comercio de Alimentos, Holyfields Restaurant and Starbucks; for Hospitality they are Monteregie Tourism Association and Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; Retail finalists are Benetton, Fresh and Sony; while New Mexico Rail Runner Express and Melbourne and Port Columbus airports are shortlisted for Transportation.
For Public Spaces, Costa Rica Shopping Centers, Oxford Properties Group, and The Grove and The Westfield San Francisco Centre will compete; Interactive Self-Services features Build-A-Bear Workshop, Central Kansas Revival and CTM Media; and New Concept comprises Experience Station, Diji-Taste by Kraft Foods, and Red Leaf Retail Concepts.
