Hospitality sector must 'think creatively' to capitalise on holidays, says UK POS

UK Point of Sale (UK POS) has cited statistics showing that pubs and restaurants experienced a 9.9 percent rise in like-for-like sales in December 2011, highlighting the need for the hospitality industry to 'think creatively' to maximise business from people continuing to go out over holiday periods despite difficult economic times.

The company is therefore promoting its hospitality point-of-sale products such as chalkboards, wallboards, tabletop chalkboards and chalk A-boards in the run-up to Mother's Day.

UK POS's hospitality range includes tabletop chalkboards

"Since the launch of our hospitality range in 2011 we have received great feedback from customers within the hospitality industry using the products," says Debra Jamieson, sales and marketing director, UK POS. "The chalkboards are sleek and stylish while also giving restaurateurs, hoteliers and bar and café owners the opportunity to personalise their signage for upcoming events and special occasions."

UK POS states that its point-of-sale displays 'enhance the visibility of seasonal offers' as they can be updated quickly.
