EFI and Epson have launched their new Designer Edition product bundles into Europe, following a successful release in North America.

Combining Epson Stylus Pro printers with EFI eXpress for Epson software RIP, the firms say the bundles are engineered to deliver ‘powerful yet easy-to-use solutions’ for graphic designers and photographers.

The Epson Stylus Pro 4900

The Designer Edition bundles includes three Epson Stylus Pro models; the WT900, 4900, and 3880.  These are combined with the EFI eXpress high-quality inkjet RIP, which features spot colour support with embedded libraries for DIC, HKS, Pantone, and Toyo—while True Adobe allows for use with either Mac or PC design suites. The bundles also have the option of adding on an Epson built-in SpectroProofer for the Stylus Pro 4990.

General manager of Fiery inkjet printing applications product at EFI, Stefan Spiegel, also praises the bundles, commenting: “Designer Edition bundles fill the gap between high-end proofing solutions and entry-level RIP offerings, providing the identical accuracy to a full-featured EFI proofing RIP while reducing the price point dramatically.”
