Solent Sewing and Welding Solutions has released a number of new products for textile finishing applications, which it says 'solves the problem' of producing high-quality work quickly and efficiently.
The Miller Weldmaster Impulse Extreme is ergonomically designed and can be operated by one person
Among the products is Texsew Pro, a lockstitch sewing machine for hems and pockets on non-weldable textiles. It is also suitable for applying latex strips onto digitally printed fabrics for use in a frame system. Texsew Pro offers speeds of up to 5,500spm, an auto thread trimmer, integrated DC motor, footlift and start and end tack, and has reduced energy consumption.
Miller Weldmaster's Impulse Extreme, meanwhile, can be used to weld overlap joins, hems and pockets on acrylics, PVC, PE and digital textiles, using Extreme Seam Tape. The 'strongest seams' are achieved with thermo impulse sealing technology, which involves pressure and heat applied to the seam area which is then allowed to cool through a liquid process before it is released. The machine can be operated by one person, Solent Sewing and Welding adds.
