Fujifilm has announced the commercial availability of its new UV-curable printer, the Acuity LED 1600, which is making its international debut at FESPA Digital in Barcelona, Spain this week.
The Acuity LED 1600 is suitable for applications such as posters and POP displays and can print on rigid and flexible substrates including acrylic, polycarbonates and PET at 20sq m/hr, says Fujifilm. Its 'unique' LED UV curing system has a low power consumption, while it also features Intelligent Curing Control and Fujifilm's Fast Accurate Marking technology.

Fujifilm adds that the Acuity LED 1600 is available with seven colour inks plus clear as standard, all of which it can print in a single pass. It also comes with Spot Colour Matching software.
"This printer is the result of the application of a number of Fujifilm proprietary technologies and is nothing but a milestone in its market segment," says Gary Barnes, marketing manager for Wide Format Inkjet Printing, Fujifilm Europe. "This true LED system offers excellent productivity and gives printers the opportunity to extend their range of substrates to valuable and environmentally friendly media alternatives to PVC."
