The digital screen arch that decorated the entrance to the Digital Signage Expo's (DSE) exhibition hall in Las Vegas this month was created by California-based digital signage provider BrightSign, it has been revealed.
"We’re honoured that [the] DSE management asked us to create a video arch again this year and view the request as both a challenge and an opportunity," says BrightSign chief executive Jeff Hastings. "It [was] a challenge to match the impact of last year’s arch, but it [gave] us an opportunity to incorporate the advancements we've made in digital signage hardware and software to make this year's arch even more engaging."
Synchronised HD LCD screens and interactive touchscreens from BrightSign formed the DSE welcome arch
The installation, which stands 8' (2.4m) high and spans almost 2' (6m) across, was made of 18 HD LCD displays powered by network-enabled HD1010 solid-state digital sign controllers from BrightSign.
"We are excited to have a great host of products that deliver a fully integrated solution for this year’s digital entrance unit project, where we incorporated solutions utilising BrightSign media players, Philips Commercial Displays, Peerless-AV mounts and Flixio Studios content," says Chris Gibbs, president of DSE producer ExpoNation.
