Gluing equipment manufacturer Sumbel has announced that it will show a number of new products on its stand at drupa this May.
The German company, which has been exhibiting at drupa since 1954, will demonstrate its new 'simple system for case-making', which comprises a gluing machine, alignment table and edge turner.
Sumbel will also show the Herold gluing machine, for large label, print, photo and poster mounting up to 40" (1.2m), alongside the Regent rotary mounting press. A variety of edge gluers will be on display, as well as the new Meltcator hot melt roller coater, in 300mm (11.8") or 500mm (19.7") roller sizes.
A range of glues and adhesives developed specifically for Sumbel machines will also be shown on Sumbel's stand, with a focus on environmentally friendly products and specialist applications. Sumbel's pressure-sensitive Glue Dots will feature among the adhesive products, and will be demonstrated with the SD-900 machine for automated glue dot application.
In addition, Sumbel will show the Craquelure water-based acrylic coating for photographs, lithographic prints, posters and canvases, designed to protect and enhance artwork to give a hand-painted look.
