Mar 05 2012 09:52:08 , 1033

Screen will commercially launch its digital sheet-fed Truepress JetSX printer at drupa, as well as demonstrate the latest improvements to the Truepress Jet520 and showcase the new complete Equios universal workflow, the company has announced.

The Truepress JetSX, previewed at Ipex 2010, is a B2 sheet-fed ink-jet press offering speeds of up to 1,620 sheets per hour on a range of substrates, making it suitable for gift, photobook, packaging and prototyping applications. It is designed to deliver variable data print from the Screen Equios front end.

The Truepress JetSX will get its commercial launch at drupa

Equios itself is described as a universal workflow with a single interface, which drives automatic production from web to print to delivery. Visitors to drupa will see the first showing of the Equios Autoflow function which allows print workflows to be defined depending on product type selected, and a cloud-based variable data application to enable designers and data owners to work together on projects.

JetInspection JI-500, a web inspection option for full data integrity added to the Truepress Jet520, will also be launched at drupa. It can be integrated into Equios to ensure the automatic printing of a new page is activated if an error is detected.
