Xerox has unveiled a series of mono digital printers designed for educational establishments and commercial print businesses.
The new platform is available in five configurations: the D95, D110 and D125 models, which combine copying and printing functionality; and the D110 and D125, which solely offer light production print output. The copy and print models offer output speeds from 95ppm to 125mm, while the direct printing systems offers configurations of either 110ppm or 125ppm. Capable of print resolutions of 2,400dpi, the manufacturer's new machines are targeted at companies producing books, manuals and marketing materials, as well as transactional documents.Scanning functionality can cater for up to 200 images per minute at a resolution of 600dpi.
Installs expected to begin next month
In line with other Xerox production printers, the new line will be available with a range of optional finishing modules that include a tape binder, GBC e-binder 200 and Plockmatic's Pro30 bookletmaker. Customers can also specify the printer with one of a range of digital front ends that include the Xerox FreeFlow print server or its EX Print server, which is powered by EFI Fiery.
Xerox is taking orders for the new platform with immediate effect and expects installs to begin next month. The machines will also be on show when Xerox exhibits at Drupa 2012 in May.
