ESPA announces the inaugural FESPA Mitteleurop?ischer Konferenz 2012. This collaborative one day event is organised by its German, Swiss and Austrian Associations and will take place on 24th October 2012 in Frankfurt.
FESPA’s three German speaking associations BVDM, VWP and VD&M have joined forces to provide industry leaders from their respective countries insightful market analysis on the latest innovations in sustainability and standardisation. The sessions will be presented by industry specialists and will provide delegates with invaluable hints and practical business tips.
The outline programme focuses on wide format print standardisation and implementation of sustainable policies within this diverse market. Environmentally friendly processes are pivotal to successful PSPs to help them remain viable in this competitive market. All visitors will be given the opportunity to learn from real-life case studies and printers will be inspired to create their own innovative strategies to help steer their business in new directions and stay ahead of the competition.
Green issues will be high on the agenda and developments in the area of sustainability will be discussed throughout the conference. A new CO2 calculator which assesses the environmental footprint of businesses will be introduced. This innovative product is for print service providers who are keen to make their business “greener”. There will be thought-provoking presentations encouraging debate and also opportunities to network with European leaders within the print industry.
FESPA first published the Planet Friendly Printing Guide in 2004. This informative document outlines environmental best practice and legislation for printers and offers detailed advice on environmental management. It is updated quarterly to provide the very latest information.
Nigel Steffens, FESPA CEO, emphasizes: “We are proud to organise the first truly collaborative FESPA event addressed to the German-speaking market and delivered in their language. This will be an exciting opportunity to combine our global expertise with local knowledge. The environment and green issues have always been a part of FESPA events, however printers now realise that this issue has risen higher on the business agenda and this event will help printers in the region to future-proof their business.”
Sponsored by leading manufacturers including Mimaki, HP and GMG, the FESPA Mitteleurop?ischer Konferenz is a one day event that will be held at the conveniently located Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.
The content of the Mitteleurop?ischer Konferenz is tailored for senior leaders within the community including printers, suppliers, brand managers, regional media, buyers and FESPA National Associations.
