Mimaki's JV400-LX Series latex printer and TS500-1800 dye-sublimation printer have each won European Digital Press (EDP) Association Awards, in the Best Environmental Printing Solution and the Best Wide Format Textile Printer categories respectively.
EDP described the Mimaki JV400-LX as 'a worthy winner' thanks to its white ink and lower energy use and print-head developments: "With the new piezo head, the viscosity of the ink is higher, meaning less drying time," the association highlighted.
Mimaki's JV400-LX and TS500-1800 printers both won EDP 2012 Awards
The Mimaki TS500-1800, suitable for sportswear and fashion, retail and exhibition graphics, picked up the prize for its 'breakthrough in price and performance for indirect dye-sub printing […] and a print speed of 150sq m/hr', says EDP.
"The range of textile solutions available from Mimaki continues to grow apace and to receive such an accolade for the TS500 is a great appreciation of what the company is achieving," says Duncan Jefferies, marketing manager of UK and Ireland Mimaki distributor Hybrid Services. "For the EDP to recognise the exceptional environmental credentials of the Mimaki JV400 latex printer is equally high praise."
