Komori and Landa have signed a global strategic partnership agreement in a key deal agreed on Landa’s stand at Drupa.
The agreement will see Landa license Komori to manufacture and market digital printing presses for a number of print markets using the Landa Nanographic Printing process.
“I believe the technology of Landa can help us to achieve the highest level because we are both engineering companies having a cordial relationship to develop new technology,” comments Komori chairman, president and chief executive officer, Yoshiharu Komori.
Landa will provide Komori with Nanographic Printing technology and Landa NanoInk—which provide the core if the Nanographic Printing process.
Landa Nanography is a new digital printing category employing water-based inks, which claim to combine the versatility of digital with the speed and quality of offset.
“The introduction of the co-branded Komori-Landa next generation digital presses for the commercial and packaging markets will significantly accelerate the worldwide adoption of Landa Nanographic Printing,” comments Landa founder, chairman and chief executive officer, Benny Landa.
The announcement follows distribution deals that Landa has also sealed with Heidelberg and Manroland.
