Kodak and Ryobi have announced plans for what they describe as the world’s first fully-integrated hybrid sheetfed press.
The press will combine the offset Ryobi 750 press with Kodak Prosper S5 Imprinting Systems, allowing print businesses to run variable jobs potentially up to 10,000 sheets per hour.

“Through this partnership, sheetfed printers can enjoy the success and benefits of one-step hybrid printing that web printers have enjoyed with Kodak inkjet products for quite some time,” says Kodak’s general manager of inkjet printing solutions and vice president, Michael L. Marsh.
The technology was one of the key themes of Drupa and the range of possibilities such presses open up are an exciting development for the industry.
