Canon’s European director of professional print, David Preskett, has hailed Drupa 2012 as a ‘great success’ as the manufacturer reports almost 400 devices being sold
“Visitor numbers to the Canon stand were impressive, with over 10,000 new leads captured,” says Preskett.
With the show marking the first since Océ joined Canon in 2010, the group claims to have a combined total of 390 Canon and Océ production printers—32 being sold to the UK market.
Preskett also says the exhibition lived up to its international tag with ‘large customer groups’ from the USA and good attendance from key emerging markets such as Brazil.
Preskett also says the firm got a good response to the firm’s Insight Report, which showed buyers feel their needs are not being understood by their print service provider.
“From the positive feedback we received and the high numbers at our Insight Report seminars, it’s clear that customers felt they gained a unique perspective on their business,” adds Preskett.
