Lutterworth set for Diamond Jubilee with help from Nationwide Platforms
Jun 05 2012 10:22:05 , 1007

Lutterworth residents will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in patriotic style thanks to Nationwide Platforms. The powered access rental company, which has its head office in the Leicestershire town, provided a 26m truck-mounted platform and machine operator to help volunteers hang Union Jack bunting safely around the market town's Memorial Gardens.

Nationwide Platforms worked closely with Lutterworth Town Council to survey the site and discuss the plans to ensure that the appropriate equipment was supplied from its 'industry leading fleet' of more than 11,300 platforms.

Lutterworth town mayor Robert Coleman says: "We’re very pleased to have been supported by Nationwide Platforms in making this happen. The bunting helps give added atmosphere to the area and will help us create a real sense of occasion for our community street party."

"As a business we’re proud to support our neighbours and help make a positive impression on the communities around us," adds Joe Keely, Corporate Responsibilty manager, Nationwide Platforms.

"With our head office located in Lutterworth it was very appropriate for us to give a helping hand with an event that so many local people can enjoy."
