Helix Optically Clear is designed to create graphics that
appear to have been printed onto the window itself
Australia's Starleaton Digital Solutions has added Optically Clear window film to its Helix brand. The UV-printable PE film is designed for use on the indoor surface of glass and is available in 1,520mm rolls with a clear peelable carrier film.
"This material is as clear as the glass it is applied to, so the substrate does not dominate the beauty of the glazing," says Starleaton Digital Solutions general manager Ben Eaton. "The UV printed graphics appear to be have been printed on the glass itself, but can be peeled off when a change is required – or a return to plain glass."
Eaton adds: "Additionally, Helix Optically Clear PE filters 99 percent of UV light and is scratch resistant while retaining the see-through properties of the glazing, but enabling graphical enhancement with vibrant advertising, decoration or messaging."
Starleaton Digital Solutions explains that graphics are reverse-printed and applied to water-sprayed glass to help repositioning.
