The new Ryobi 760 E series will be available to the UK market from September
UK distributor of Ryobi equipment, Apex Digital Graphics, has announced the introduction of the Ryobi 760E series—a new B2-format offset-litho press, described as a ‘space-saving’ option.
“In spite of the number of digital products launched into the B2 sector at Drupa, most of which will not be commercially available for some time, we are convinced offset still has a significant role to play in this format,” comments Apex sales and marketing director, Neil Handforth, adding: “This focus is enhanced by Ryobi’s ability to integrate the Kodak Prospect digital imaging head into a machine build to provide a hybrid printing solution.”
Available in the UK from September, Ryobi says the new series sits between its two existing B2-format machines—the 750 series and entry-level 780E products, in terms of size and price.
Taking around 26 percent less floor space than the 750 series, the new model is available in two to six-colour configurations—with a convertible perfecting option also available.
Space saved comes from the inclusion of the Ryobi PCS-K printing control system above the delivery section of the machine and new-style footboards. It can also handle paper sizes up to 765 x 600mm and is capable of printing up to 13,000 sheets per hour.
The Drupa-announced partnership between Ryobi and Kodak is already allowing printers to combine the bets of offset with personalisation capabilities of digital—a combination Apex believes brings the ‘best of both worlds together’.
