GMG ProductionSuite will help the company create a variety of wide-format work.

Print services provider Your Print Solution has invested in a GMG ProductionSuite wide-format colour management and workflow solution to support its expansion into new markets.

The High Wycombe-based company has pinpointed the wide-format sector as an area for growth and the
improvement to this area of production will boost the move.

The firm will initially use the ProductionSuite to drive a new 60" HP Designjet L26500 printer, complementing an existing Epson Stylus Pro 9600 44" machine.

Company director, David Jackson, says the GMG ProductionSuite has ‘definitely’ helped the move into wide-format and believes it will continue to assist as the demand for services grows.

“With GMG ProductionSuite, we know that we are hitting that reliably on the HP as well, because everything is measured,” says Jackson, adding: “Not only are we matching colour across devices and substrates but, perhaps more importantly, we are providing consistency over time, from one month to the next.”

The six-year-old company has seen a growth in demand for poster and large-format work from customers, which includes the Wimpy restaurant franchise.

The extra capacity and abilities the new additions bring will allow the firm to tackle new projects and enjoy the financial benefits.

This will follow a general trend in the industry which has seen more print businesses successfully moving into the wide-format as a way of opening up new profit paths.
