The winners of Graph Expo's Must See 'Ems competition have been announced. It is the first time the winners, chosen by a panel of industry professionals, have been named before the show, with the intention of allowing Graph Expo delegates to plan their visits to winners' stands.
The 2012 award scheme features the new Legacy Award, which recognises a previous winner who exerts 'a lasting influence' on the industry. The recipient will be announced at the Executive Outlook conference in October.
Among the Must See 'Em winners are Epson's SureColor S50670, Xante's Excelagraphix 4200 and the HP Designjet L26500 in the Pressroom – Wide-Format category, plus Kodak Nexpress Gold Dry Ink and HP's Indigo 10000 and Indigo WS6600 Digital Presses in the Pressroom – Digital Presses category.
In the Postpress Finishing – Digital and Small-Format group, Must See 'Ems were named as Xerox's IntegratedPlus Finishing Solution for Booklets and the MGI Jetvarnish 3D, while Postpress Finishing – Wide-Format winners were the EFI Layout Option for Fiery Wide-Format Solution and Esko Kongsberg XN.
A webinar will be held on September 12th, hosted by programme coordinator Hal Hinderliter, to review each winning technology. Graph Expo itself will be held in Chicago, USA from October 7th to 10th.
