InnoMark Communications Accelerates Digital Growth with Significant HP Scitex Investment
InnoMark Communications has installed five HP Scitex systems, boosting productivity and capturing new business opportunities. The new solutions include an HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press, an HP Scitex LX850, XP5500 and two FB700 Industrial Printers.
The Miamisburg, Ohio-based company focuses on high-end retail, POP and packaging applications, ranging from one-off jobs to high-volume projects for nationwide clients. InnoMark entered the digital market in 1997 with a fleet of HP Designjet 5000 Printers and has since outgrown its printing capacity. In April, InnoMark made a strategic digital investment to expand its business.
“The installation of the new HP Scitex technology significantly improves our ability to tackle larger print jobs, helping us grow with current clients and take on new projects,” said Mark Long, operations manager, InnoMark Communications. “In addition to purchasing five pieces of equipment, we have hired to keep up with the surge in production and to pursue new business. Both our workforce and output volume have increased dramatically since the installation.”
Enhanced productivity with complementary digital solutions
According to Long, InnoMark produces nearly 90 percent of its projects on the new HP Scitex systems, often using multiple systems for one project.
The HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press is InnoMark’s new digital workhorse, printing up to 95 full sheets an hour. (1) The press’s three-quarter automated loading also contributes to faster turnaround.
The double-sided printing capabilities of the HP Scitex LX850 andXP5500 Industrial Printers allow InnoMark to produce double-sided signs and vinyl banners not easily handled by previous competitive equipment. InnoMark is also taking advantage of direct-to-fabric printing capabilities on the HP Scitex LX850 Industrial Printer to serve customers interested in fabric printing.
InnoMark benefits from the HP Scitex FB700 Industrial Printer's white ink option, finding the UV-curable system easier to use and maintain than existing competitive white ink equipment.
“An investment of this magnitude puts InnoMark in a unique position to grow its services across a number of application areas and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace,” said Jan Riecher, vice president and general manager, Americas Graphics Solutions Business, HP. “With expanded digital capabilities, the company can fully support its clients’ nationwide campaigns.”
