Cewe Color has installed an HP Indigo W7250 digital press in order to increase the production of products including photobooks. HP states the German company plans to purchase a second Indigo W7250 for its Oldenburg headquarters next year, and has also taken receipt of an HP Indigo 7600 digital press.

"The Cewe Photobook is our best-selling product," says Dr Michael Fries, managing board member at Cewe Color. "We produced more than 5m personalised books last year and demand is still increasing."

One HP Indigo W7250 digital press has been installed at Cewe Colors's HQ, with a second to follow in 2013

He continues: "For the large volume of tailor-made photo applications we produce every day, we require presses which are fast and reliable. The HP Indigo W7250 digital press provides us with high-volume production and short-run jobs in offset quality."

The HP Indigo W7250 digital press features an Enhanced Productivity Mode to enables printing speeds of up to 320ppm in colour and up to 960ppm in monochrome modes, according to HP.

Last year, Cewe Color produced approximately 2.5bn prints in products including Cewe Photobooks, photo gifts, personalised calendars and greetings cards.
