Sep 12 2012 14:31:38 , 1051

Spandex is to host its annual Open House event at its Bristol premises on November 7th and 8th 2012.

The event will offer sign makers and digital print professionals the opportunity to be introduced to new ideas to grow and transform their business through conferences, practical expert advice, hardware and materials demonstrations, workshops and other activities.  All visitors will receive a gift worth over £100 and the chance to win an Epson SureColor SCT-7000 printer worth £3,000. Spaces are limited and delegates are encouraged to pre-register well in advance.

“Feedback from previous events tells us that visitors value the extensive learning opportunities and the friendly atmosphere of our Open Houses”, says Leon Watson, UK General Manager. “The 2012 event is geared towards offering ideas, advice and practical support that will help visitors to widen their service capability and improve sales and profitability.”

Conference

A highlight of the event will be the ‘Do it Yourself Digital Marketing’ conference by expert consultant Cat Young. The conference will reveal the secrets of Digital Marketing including Social Media and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and how businesses can implement these on a very limited budget. Attendees are also invited to sign up for a one-to-one consultation with Cat.

Workshops

A range of ‘touch and try’ workshops will equip visitors with practical tools to help them identify new business opportunities and develop their range of services. Hands-on workshops include Vehicle Wrapping, Banner Finishing and Display Solutions, Modular Sign Systems, Textile Marking and Edge Media Applications.

Exhibition

Spandex offers the industry’s widest range of brands and the event will give delegates the chance to consult the expertise of exhibitors including Avery, 3M, ImagePerfect, Gerber, American Biltrite and Onyx. Industry partners including the British Sign and Graphics Association and several leading specialist publications will be present, contributing to an informative event.

Throughout the day, visitors will experience live hands-on demonstrations of an extensive range of printing technologies including the latest UV flatbed printers from SwissQprint, plus wide format printers from Epson.  In addition, Spandex will show its broad range of print finishing equipment from Rollsroller, Summa, Keencut and Vivid Laminators. The Gerber Edge FX thermal printer will be demonstrating a range of revenue-generating applications that cannot be easily reproduced with current inkjet technology.

The event will allow visitors to access materials specialists who will be on-hand to provide information on new substrates, as well as offer useful printing tips and techniques for various large format printing applications.

A number of promotions, prize draws and giveaways exclusive to the Open House will be available to visitors. Visitors on the first day are also invited to an entertaining evening of good food and drinks from 6pm.
