Applelec has released a new LED illumination system for large-scale flex-face light-boxes, designed to be 'super bright' in order to reduce the number of modules required per linear metre, therefore reducing costs.
The manufacturer explains that Super Orbis features a special batwing lens, which improves efficiency by distributing light forwards in wide batwing or M-shaped beams. This, combined with brightness of 235 lumens from the 6300k Nichia LED, means a 200mm-deep flex-face light-box requires only four modules per square metre, according to Applelec.
Each IP65-rated Super Orbis module uses 2.52 watts and is suitable for interior and exterior usage.
