Digitl Ink has revealed it is developing two new water-based inks for direct printing onto textiles.
"The aim is to produce durable print, direct-to-textile rather than via sublimation, with inks which are more environmentally friendly and do not require room ventilation, which is often a requirement when using solvent-based inks for these purposes," Digitl Ink states.
Currently named Digitl Ink Tex-AD, the first new ink is for nylon, wool and silk 'with minimal pre-print or post-print treatments', while Digitl Ink Tex-PG is being developed for these fabrics plus cotton and polycotton, where lightfastness and durability are necessary.
