Manroland Sheetfed is to cut more than 10% of its workforce in Germany, according to local reports.
At least 110 jobs will go in Offenbach, from the 1,000 employees remaining at the plant following the radical downsizing of the operation after Manroland was broken up and the sheetfed operation sold to Langley Holdings in February.
Six weeks ago Langley chairman and owner Tony Langley said the business was "standing on its own feet" financially, and trading within expectations.
Manroland Australasia is not owned by the Manroland Sheetfed: the local business was one of the only international divisions, along with India, to be acquired as part of the takeover of the web manufacturing division by Germany's Possehl Group.
Manroland Australasia acts as the local agent for the sheetfed supplier.
