Mutoh will reveal three new ValueJet printers at next month's Viscom Italia, the company has announced. The ValueJet 1638 high speed Eco Ultra and the ValueJet 1638W dye-sublimation printers, both 1.6m (64") wide, will make their début in Milan, alongside the ValueJet 2638, the first 2.6m (102") ValueJet printer.
The ValueJet 1638 is designed for the sign and display market with production speeds of up to 36sq m/hr at 720 x 720dpi. It uses Mutoh's Eco Ultra CMYK inks and will 'address the needs of PSPs and commercial printers looking for a high volume printing solution', the company says.
For the sublimation transfer market, the ValueJet 1638W can print on the 'thinnest available' transfer papers and uses Mutoh's water-based direct disperse inks to deliver speeds of up to 65sq m/hr.
Both dual-head 1638 models incorporate Intelligent Interweaving technology and a number of improvements for the operator, such as a redesigned keyboard, as well as efficiency updates like a space-saving tilting ink cassette holder.
The ValueJet 2638 will also use Eco Ultra inks and feature a dual-head setup with speeds of up to40 sq m/hr at 720 x 720dpi.
