Nexcom has introduced its fanless multimedia panel PC, MPPC 2120T, with a 21.5" (55cm) vertical alignment touchscreen and LED backlight, which the company says provides 'exceptional visual at wide viewing angles'.

Vertical alignment panel technology ensures the MPPC 2120T delivers 'superb viewing angles' of up to 89(U), 89(D), 89 (L), 89(R), high contrast ratio of 3000:1 and luminance of 420cd/sq m, Nexcom says. The MPPC 2120T also performs well in bright and low ambient light conditions with no colour shifts or discolouration, the company adds, making it well-suited for public premises where it may be installed above eye-level, such as for digital menuboard applications and exhibition stands.

The fanless multimedia panel PC is also energy-efficient, boasting a low-power dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor, which lowers the total cost of ownership and improves the system's lifespan, Nexcom notes. The unit's DDR3 memory is capable of handling multimedia content, streaming and interactive touch selection simultaneously.

The screen housing, with a narrow bezel design, 'maximises screen visibility', and the front panel has also been certified water- and dust-proof, making it suitable for locations such as theme parks.
