Spandex has been appointed by Roland DG as a UK Authorised Dealer of its print & cut systems. The Roland machines will be demonstrated at the upcoming Spandex Open House event scheduled to take place at Spandex's Bristol premises on 7th and 8th November 2012.
“Spandex is a well-known and trusted supplier with a wide portfolio who, like Roland, is considered professional yet approachable. Having them on board adds a nice balance to our dealer partnerships, which is critical to giving us the best possible chance to maximise our market share," comments Rob Goleniowski, business manager for sign & graphics at Roland DG (UK). "Technical expertise and support, market knowledge and national reach - Spandex ticks all the boxes. They understand the needs of signmakers and graphics producers and will be able to clearly communicate the advantages of Roland equipment to the market so it’s a very exciting partnership indeed.”
Phil McMullin, Spandex country manager for the UK, adds, “We are glad to add Roland to our unique portfolio of brands. The Roland print-and-cut series complements our equipment portfolio expanding further the options available to our customers and our appointment happens in perfect timing so we can demonstrate the range at our Open House in November”
The VersaCAMM VS Series print-and-cut inkjets consists of 4 different models that, in addition to the high speed dual CMYK ink set up, are able to offer metallic and white ink which allow users to easily apply sophisticated effects to graphics that were previously available only through silk screening, offset printing and hot stamping.
Another addition to the portfolio is the desktop VersaSTUDIO BN-20 inkjet print-and-cut model which allows customers to easily produce durable graphics for outdoor applications as well as labels and decals due to its print and cut capabilities. Its metallic ink is perfect for creating striking effects and its white ink is ideal for transparent or coloured media applications and - says Phil McMullin - will enable customers to produce smooth gradations of gold, silver, metallic and pearlescent colours cost effectively.
He continues, "The Spandex Open House aims to show visitors how to widen their service offer by using new materials or equipment and the VersaSTUDIO BN-20 ties in very well with that, the added value possibilities are endless.”
