InPrint, the new event targeting the industrial printing sector, which was set to take place next November, has been put back to April 2014.

The inaugural show was due to be held on 13-14 November 2013 in Cologne, Germany will now take place over 8-10 April 2014 in Hannover during the Hannover Messe technology show.

The focus of the two-day event will remain on developments within the industrial sector catalysed by 3D printing and digital inkjet production.

Organisers FM Brooks, which recently concluded its first EcoPrint event in Berlin, said running the show in conjunction with Hannover Messe was "an additional reason to attend".

FM Brooks director Frazer Chesterman said: "Ongoing research among inkjet and screen printing manufacturers confirms the need for a dedicated event that unleashes the exciting and innovative capabilities of print technology across a number of industries.

"We are delighted to be establishing such an event, but the fact we are co-locating with the Hannover Fair gives visitors to InPrint 2014 an additional reason to attend and adds significant impetus to our proposition."

FM Brooks has involved print technology manufacturers, print businesses and consultants in the development of InPrint.

The event will aim to analyse the opportunities presented by industrial print applications spanning issues such as additive manufacturing, or decorative surface imaging.

Xaar marketing director Mark Alexander said it welcomed the move to a 2014 schedule.

"Since 1990, Xaar has been continually investing in R&D to develop industrial inkjet printheads that open up new possibilities for applications and new areas of business opportunities.

"An event that showcases the innovative potential of inkjet for a variety of manufacturing applications is an exciting concept and Xaar welcomes the launch of InPrint 2014."
