3M Commercial Graphics, St. Paul, Minn., announces an update to its MCS (matched component system) warranty program. Hewlett-Packard’s HP LX610 and 792 Latex Inks have become the newest ink offerings to qualify for the 3M MCS Warranty for finished graphics.
This new program will allow graphics manufacturers with HP Scitex LX Industrial Printers or HP Designjet L28500 and L26500 Printers who complete 3M’s certification process the opportunity to produce graphics backed by the 3M MCS Warranty. The warranty will be available on inks labeled as a 3M MCS Warranty Component starting in November 2012 for HP LX610 Latex Inks and in February 2013 for the HP 792 Latex Inks.
3M will also add requirements for digitally imaged graphics to receive a Certificate of 3M MCS Warranty. These new requirements will include completion of eLearning modules and a site visit from a 3M representative. Graphics manufacturers who are using a 3M ink and that are eligible to offer the 3M MCS Warranty can go to www.3MGraphics.com/warrantyregistration to register to receive their personalized Certificate of 3M MCS Warranty.
