Eight independent ink channels and additional features improve productivity and quality Océ, a Canon Group Co. (Trumbull, CT), is introducing its Océ Arizona? 480 GT and Océ Arizona 480 XT printers that offer increased throughput, optional roll-to-roll processing and an expanded applications range.
Built with Océ’s established VariaDot? imaging technology, the printers feature eight ink channels, active pixel placement compensation, a precise vacuum system and batch-mode operation. The Océ Arizona 480 GT table measures 49.2 x 98.4 in.; the Océ Arizona 480 XT table measures 98.4 by 120 in. The Oce Arizona 480 XT model can print at speeds of up to 272 sq. ft./hr. in Production-Squared mode on rigid media up to 2.0 in. thick. A roll-media option allows printing on flexible media printing up to 86.6 in. wide.
The Océ Arizona 480 GT features six vacuum zones and Océ Arizona 480 XT features seven; all zones can match most standard- sized graphic arts media.
The eight-color, ink-channel system sets the first four for standard CMYK printing; ink channels five and six can be configured as varnish (spot or flood) and white, or double white. Channels seven and eight enhance print quality and increase speed via the extra cyan and magenta nozzle capacity that allows the printers to reach production mode speeds that rival slower quality modes.
The Batch Mode system allows you to streamline of multilayered jobs – those requiring multiple passes to achieve the desired results.
