Roland DG opens creative doors

Wide-format specialist Roland DG has announced the opening of a Creative Centre at its Clevedon headquarters.

The facility will allow visitors to see first-hand what the company has to offer, with digital printing  one of the main technologies on display.

Everything in the centre, from the ceiling tiles to the windows, have been printed using Roland wide-format kit, and will demonstrate to visitors the wide variety of markets they can enter using the firm’s kit.

Creative Centre and Roland Academy manager, Joe Wigzell, says the company believes in the ‘power of sharing ideas'.

He adds: “The Creative Centre is an inspirational place for the innovative and interesting—as well as the more classic applications our equipment is capable of producing. The focus is on applications, rather than the technology, with the aim that when customers see it, they believe it and—hopefully—are inspired to achieve.”

The centre could prove to be a portal for traditional printers that are looking to expand their services into new and potentially profitable markets that the wide-format sector holds.
